Sunrise in North Carolina, USA

This was the most beautiful sight any living being could witness. It was taken at carolina Beach, North Carolina in November 2008.
I know I haven't been around for ages, but so much as happened in my life since I last posted a photo - all positive events, that have made me a very happy person and in love with a very special man (Which started December 2007) :-)

Wonderful shot, Vanessa! Glad to hear your hiatus from Am3 has been filled with "all positive events"... which sure beats the alternative. Thanks so much for sharing that amazing picture and your feelings about that sunrise.
I can sure relate to sunrises at the beach in N.C... almost 6 years ago, one such sunrise was the first I ever photographed... the first of many, it turned out. @Tony Duque: Thank you Tony, Living near London with all the tall buildings I only get to see bits of the sunrise and sunset. This was one experience that will stay with me forever, not only did I wake my boyfriend at 5am, not realising the clocks went back on November 3rd lol. We sat on the balcony from of our hotel room and not only did I take loads of photos, I also have cam footage too. Then the emotions kicked in when I saw Dolphins in their natural environment, instead of an aquarium. Like I said this experience will stay with me forever.
I'm hoping to go back to the same hotel when I fly back over to the States to visit my boyfriend and start over again with the sunrise photos. Taking photos of the sun is a passion of mine.
I have just seen your photo, wow it's beautiful, the colours are fantastic.

Such a magnificent observation, Vanessa. Sometimes the beauty that Mother nature provides for us every day is the most spectacular. Stunning

@EYES WIDE SHUT: Thank your for your comment and it's true Mother nature sure provides for us in most spectacular ways. There is so much natural beauty around, it's just a case of slowing down and taking it all in and never take it for granted. Just having the opportunity on standing on the hotel balcony for just over 2 hours to captured the sunrise from start to finish was an amazing experience that cannot be taken away for me.
